To get into the brain of others has stopped being a thing of obscurantist sorcerers and gypsies tarotistas. The technology has raised the target in diverse opportunities, and it is in this occasion in which a team of investigators has passed much hit to obtain it using the excellent tool for it: the magnetic resonance.
Eleanor Maguire del University College of London experimented with ten volunteers whom he asked to look at videos of seven seconds in which one was showing to individuals realizing daily tasks. Then, analyzing his brains with magnetic resonances he asked them to remember them, getting deeply into the memory of the participants.
The study published in Current Biology, was focused in the observation of the activity in the sea horse, a region in the center of the brain that plays a fundamental role in the control and development of the memory and of the memories.
On having asked them to remember the videos that they saw, Maguire measured the cerebral activity of the volunteers with magnetic resonance, measuring the changes in the cerebral blood flow. The results had 50 % of effectiveness, enough more of the conceited thing, and opening this way the doors for an improving of the skill.
The possibility of a ‘Telepathic Machine’ sounds to a somewhat nineteenth-century idea; nevertheless, the possibility is real, and with his materialization the precision possibilities increase in the results of police cases and of criminology.
